Bühlmann ZHL-16C · nitrogen · an interactive sandbox for tissue tension, ceilings and the GF line
Teaching tool. Simplified constants. Not for planning real dives.
06 Profile & tissue tensions
A depth chart in disguise: every tissue is drawn at the depth its nitrogen load corresponds to. A blue line below the gold ambient line is carrying more gas than your current depth allows — supersaturated. Stay below the green ceiling.
07 The gradient factor diagram
The one picture worth memorising. Watch the trajectory loop out to the right on descent and climb toward the green line on the way up.
08 Sixteen compartments
Fast compartments (top) fill and empty quickly; slow ones (bottom) barely move on a short dive.
